Avela Meds
A daily medication routine has four moving parts.
Schedules, dose records and refill notes can end up in different places. Keeping them in the order you use them makes the routine easier to review and share.
01
Start with the schedule you have already confirmed
Keep the medication name, prescribed dose, time and frequency together. Each medication can have its own schedule. When a clinician changes the plan, update future reminders while keeping previous records available. A reminder tool should record the plan, not decide it.
02
Keep reminders and confirmation distinct
A reminder means a scheduled time has arrived. A dose record is your confirmation of what happened. Record taken, skipped or postponed doses honestly. If you cannot remember whether you took a dose, an empty record cannot establish that you missed it or tell you to take another.
03
Count the supply you actually have
Keep remaining medication separate from items you intend to buy. Planned, ordered and received are different states. Add a refill to inventory after it arrives and you check the quantity. Estimated days remaining depend on the schedule and quantities you entered.
04
Give family members a clear handoff
Review the confirmed schedule, available supply and refill list together. Share a record only when you choose to. An exported document is a handoff; it is not live remote monitoring or an automatically synchronized family account.
When does Avela Meds fit?
If your routine includes dose history, inventory and refill planning as well as reminders, Avela Meds brings those tasks together. Set daily, interval, weekly or cycle-based schedules, record taken, skipped or postponed doses, and add medication to inventory after receiving it. PDF export is a Pro feature; choose it if you need shareable records.

This guide covers organization and record keeping. It does not interpret prescriptions or give advice about missed doses, dosage or treatment. Ask your clinician or pharmacist about those decisions.
