A one-off dose should not force you to rebuild the whole medication plan.
If your clinician has already given you a temporary dose change, the record-keeping problem is simple: handle this occurrence differently while keeping the long-term schedule intact.
01 · Temporary amount
Record the amount for this dose, including 0.5 tablet.
Avela can record precise amounts such as 0.5 tablet for an individual occurrence. That changes the record for the selected dose rather than silently rewriting the long-term plan.
02 · Postpone
Move the occurrence without losing its identity.
If a scheduled dose is postponed, the timeline and history can keep that outcome distinct from taking it at the original time.
03 · Skip
A skipped dose is not the same as a completed dose.
Recording different outcomes makes the later history useful: taken, postponed, skipped, and missed are not collapsed into one generic “done” state.
04 · Several medications at one time
Handle the selected occurrences together.
When multiple medications share a time, Avela can present them together so temporary actions do not require jumping between unrelated alarm entries.
05 · Keep the long-term schedule separate
Use the plan for recurring rules and exceptions for today.
